Invasive Species Clean-Up Day at Goose Rocks Beach!
Saturday, May 16th
9 am - 3 pm
Calling volunteers and beach lovers!
Temperatures are finally warming up and we are looking ahead to sunny, summer days at the beach! Protecting this natural resource is a priority so it may be enjoyed for generations to come. The Kennebunkport Conservation Trust has teamed up with the Goose Rocks Beach Advisory Committee to begin tackling the problem of invasive plants that crowd out native plant species along our shores.
Please join us on Saturday, May 16th for an invasive plant clean-up day! We will be working on the Trust’s beach lots from 9am - 3pm (rain date May 17). Information about the nature and removal of invasive plant species will be shared. All volunteers are welcome and should meet at KCT’s lots on Goose Rocks Beach (at the end of Proctor Street). Please bring work gloves, shovels, pitchforks, and/or clippers if you have them. Lunch will be provided. Please sign up below to let us know you are coming so we have enough grub for all of our helpers!
