Join the Kennebunkport Conservation Trust for Summerfest 2016! This fun family festival has something for everyone.....barefoot dancing with our favorite local band, the Lower Village People, trail races of every length, a human foos ball tournament (yes, HUMAN!), food trucks, beer tent, kids activities, lawn games, craft vendors and more!
Pick from a 5K, 10K, 1/2 marathon, marathon or the kids fun run.....all taking place on our extensive trail system. Click HERE for information on the courses, start times, etc. This is part of our 4 Season's Trail Race Series presented by Kennebunk Savings Bank.
Registration is open for the races.
Look no further for this summer’s human foosball tournament! The course itself is constructed out of hay bales by Spang Builders and the Hazlewood Handyman crew. Each team has six players with five on the field and one in the goal. Just like the tabletop version of foosball, the “players” are in a line formation and can only move from left to right…..each holding on to pvc piping that runs along rope.
Last year’s inaugural human foosball tournament was a combination of heated competition, belly laughing, crowd cheering and frothy, cold beverages for the competitors! The Goat Island team had a good showing with theme music and costumes, but ultimately the Kennebunk Rotary Team prevailed. Who will be this year’s winner? Join us at Summerfest to find out….better yet, gather a half dozen friends and put your own team together. Trust us, no experience required…..just the ability to have fun!
We are having foos ball team pre-register this year so our tournament bracket is ready in advance. Registration is $25 per team and all proceeds go to support the Trust's educational programs.
