Thank you for your interest in becoming a KCT Island Steward. The Islands of Cape Porpoise Harbor are one of the Trust’s most precious gifts to the public. Your time and efforts as a Steward would be a vital part of keeping that gift a safe and memorable experience. Our main activities involve preparing the island campsites in the spring, stewarding the shoreline during the summer, and final cleaning and closing the campsites in the Fall.
We use a 16ft Lund (open aluminum powerboat) to access the Islands. However, one of our largest islands (Vaughn) is also accessible across hard sand at low tide. There are opportunities to become involved for all seafaring comfort levels.
