Welcome to the Kennebunkport Conservation Trust

Since 1973, the Trust has been preserving special places in Kennebunkport.  It began with a threat to our lands. The community worked with us to protect these properties that were in danger of development.  With the help of our members, KCT has conserved over 2,300 acres, created over 19 miles of trails, maintained harbor islands for public use, restored a historic lighthouse and boathouse, established educational programs, built a headquarters for community gatherings, and has created a special Trust family in Kennebunkport.  We welcome all to join us.

Kennebunkport Conservation Trust regarding COVID-19

Dear Community Members,

As our local and national communities respond to the rapidly-changing environment around COVID-19, the Kennebunkport Conservation Trust Headquarters will remain closed effective Tuesday March 17th, 2020 until further notice.

Conservation Staff will be available via email as they work remotely if you should need to get in touch about (re)scheduling for a virtual meeting or checking in about your rental. Online orders placed after 3/15 may be delayed in shipping. Please note, phone calls and voicemails will not be received during this time via 207-967-3465.

POSTPONED: Colin Woodard Presentation: Mayday will no longer occur March 23rd – stay tuned for new fall date.

We hope everyone stays safe and healthy and we will see you back at Headquarters soon!

Sincerely,

            Kennebunkport Conservation Trust

Celebrating Maine’s Bicentennial

To celebrate Maine’s 200th anniversary, the Kennebunkport Conservation Trust, Kennebunk Land Trust, and Arundel Conservation Trust have Maine Bicen"trail"ial challenge for you! As Maine forges ahead for the next two centuries, we want to recognize the history of the land we have today and all the amazing places our community has protected. Here’s how it works:

  • Download the map for each Trust’s featured property (Maps go LIVE soon! Check back later!)

  • Visit ALL three properties by September 22nd, 2020 (the autumn equinox)

  • TAG @KPORTCONSERVATION, @KENNEBUNK_LANDTRUST, and @ARUNDELCONSERVATION on Instagram in a photo on each property with #maine200 and #bicentrailial

  • Participants who complete the challenge will be entered into a drawing for a Bicentrailial Trust Swag Bag! Winner announced Friday September 25th, 2020

A special thank you to the brick store museum for partnering with our land trusts and sponsoring a bicentennial flag in the drawing and all of their work in our communities!

Check us all out online or follow us on Facebook to stay in the know for the Official Map Day Release!
