KCT Thought of the Week, September 5, 2008
"One beautiful morning last month I stopped by the site of the Grist Mill property and spent some time sitting there, understanding why it was my grandmother's favorite spot in the Port. Between 1910 and 1914 she rode the trolley from Biddeford to work as a telephone operator in what is now the Weinstein Building and I imagined her carrying her lunch to that spot on nice days. It was a 'golden moment' for me, and I am so glad that the Trust has acquired the property. Thanks again for all of your efforts." Linda Rice
