The Trust's educational programming began in 2008.  The goal was to reach the youth in our community, giving them a sense of place, love of nature, and knowledge of their town.  We began with our Trust In Our Children program, which offers educational field trips to each grade at the Consolidated Elementary School in Kennebunkport.  To expand our reach, we developed nature-based summer programming called Discovery Days.  Both have been wildly successful and are serving as models for other land trusts.  Our role continues to evolve and we have expanded programming to reach all ages.  By bridging generations, introducing neighbors, providing knowledge of our lands, together, we are building community.  We welcome you to join in on the fun and experience Kennebunkport!

“In the end we will conserve only what we love; We will love only what we understand; and we will understand only what we have been taught.”
