This year, the Kennebunkport Conservation Trust has reformatted their Annual Meeting into an opportunity to discover KCT with an interactive open house event that will allow people to explore Emmons Preserve, and visit with board members, staff, stewards, caretakers, volunteers, community partners, and others who love KCT. There will be live music from the BillyBilly band, a raffle, and food and drinks.
This immersive gathering will showcase all that KCT has to offer at the peaceful and picturesque setting of KCT Headquarters at Emmons Preserve. Attendees can visit and participate in activites, tents and tables set up to learn about all aspects of KCT including information about the trails, islands, programs, and many properties open for all to enjoy always. Community partners such as Kennebunk High School Alternative Education, KCT local Scout Troop #304, The Archeological Alliance, The Climate Initiative and more will also join in the fun of the day. Information about upcoming events, programs, fundraisers, and festivals and ways to get involved will be on hand as well.
KCT Executive Director Tom Bradbury said "The great thing about this type of meeting is that you can spend time talking with those who are performing tasks that interest you. Our lighthouse keepers, trail and island stewards, archaeologists, climate warriors, staff and volunteers will all be available to answer questions in a fun setting which includes music, food, drinks and fun. What could be better? Have you ever been interested in finding out more about the things we do? Here's your chance. We like to think that the Trust plays a part in the lives of almost everyone in our community. We work to protect the places, activities and views you love the most and hope people will join us to find out how and why we do what we do and how much is attempted and accomplished each year."
Discover KCT will be held Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 11AM-3PM on the lawn at KCT headquarters, 57 Gravelly Brook Road, Kennebunkport. The event is free and open to the public.
