Daily Activities:

Monday Feb 18: How does it rain? (10am-11:30am) Learn a bit more about the water cycle while we create rain in a jar to understand how warm and cold air interact in the atmosphere to form rain drops!

Tuesday Feb 19: Binocular Explorers (10am-11:30am) Wear your snow boots and get ready to tromp along one of the KCT Trails with us to look for what wildlife has stuck around in Maine for the winter. Bring your own binoculars or borrow a pair of ours, as we will go out on the trails and do some tracking! Then warm up in headquarters and make a bird feeder for some of our winter friends.

Wednesday Feb 20: Chewonki: Mammals of Maine (10am-11:30am) Join us and the Kennebunkport Parks and Recreation Department at the Kennebunkport Headquarters as Chewonki comes to teach us about various mammals in Maine! We will discuss what makes a mammal and various adaptations while looking at a mounted animal, then meet a living, non-releasable mammal. This hour long presentation is open to 2nd-5th grade. 30 participants maximum.

Thursday Feb 21: Critter Craft Time (10am-11:30am) Make some fun critter themed crafts and relax before the weekend at the Trust Headquarters. Craft supplies will be provided to make all kinds of fun nature based crafts!

Friday Feb 22: Snowshoe & Stories (10am-11:30am) Get outside and take a group walk around a Trust trail, but don’t forget to break out your snowshoes! We’ll go explore the outdoors and see what we can find in nature, and then come back and warm up with a story. This is a Bring-Your-Own-Snowshoes activity.
